Her voice is at its earthy, rich best as she puts her faith on full display, reassuring everyone that death is nothing to fear about. Unfortunately, there were no singles released from Who Says God is Dead. The initial sales of the record were low, and it only peaked at No. 44 on Billboard’s Hot Country Albums chart. Other Loretta Lynn songs found in the album were “The Old Rugged Cross,” “I Believe,” “In the Garden,” and “Mama, Why?” – which featured her son Ernest Ray Lynn.
