In 2014, the stage of Kelly and Michael felt a little different. Usually, it’s all jokes and loud music, but then Sir Barry Gibb stepped out.
He was invited to talk about his first-ever solo tour, named “The Mythology tour,” which took place in 2013.
But the show was more than just a talk. The moment Sir Barry walked out, the crowd went absolutely wild for the living legend. They cheered so loudly for him that he had to go towards the crowd to shake their hands and hug them!
When he settled down, it got a little emotional. He talked about how during the tour, he had three seats on the stage, with the 2 reserved for his twin brothers, Robin and Maurice. He talked about how he missed them but wants to keep their legacy alive through music, which is why the solo tour took place.
But when a man with silver hair, a voice that fans say they can recognise with them with a blindfold, is right next to you, what do you do? You make him sing! And that is exactly what the hosts did.
Barry gave fans a performance so warm that the live audience went teary-eyed! He sang a medley of hits, including the stunning “Words” and “To Love Somebody.”
Even though he is older now, his voice is still perfect. It is unique, high, and full of soul.
